Local chefs demonstrate cooking techniques that focus on the delectable Walla Walla sweet onions. Food vendors who specialize utilizing the onion will be selling their wares.
All ages and interests will be entertained during the festival. The weekend kicks off with a Funion Run on Friday. Everyone can participate in onion themed games throughout the festival. Local bands supply entertainment.
Walla Walla Whiskey Festival
Held at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds is the Walla Walla Whiskey Festival. This event is for the 21 and over crowd. Anyone seeking to learn more about whiskey, bourbon, blends, cognacs, and rye will be able to glean information from the makers and mixologists who specialize in whiskeys. Also taking place at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds is the Walla Walla Music Fest. With fifteen bands that will play over three days in early June, this music event is not to be missed. Tour of Walla Walla
Still enjoying the summer days in Walla Walla, be sure to attend the Tour of Walla Walla. Occurring over three days, this cycling event offers challenging courses set in an incredible landscape. Four stages are planned for the Tour of Walla Walla. There will be two road races, a time trial and the Criterium. For those who participate in or attend the Criterium, they will see another beautiful part of Walla Walla – its historic downtown.
After, before, and during the races, there are plenty of events for cyclists and spectators. Live music, a beer tent, and a race for kids will add to the fun of the weekend. While in Walla Walla, enjoy visiting the fabulous restaurants, wineries, and more.
